A Chilean Lankmark
Hello welcome back!! In today's post I am going to talk to you about a Chilean landmark that I like. The landmark I want to talk about is the Inca Coya lagoon.
This is in the north of Chile, near Calama... about an hour from the city.
Since I was very little I have been going to this lagoon with my maternal side of the family. Whenever we travel north to visit my grandparents, we go to Chiu-Chiu and then to the lagoon.
I would dare to say that it is one of my favorite places, it is beautiful and gives a peace that no other place gives. It's going and listening to the desert with the sound of water in the background and a very strong wind. Even though it is a desert and you believe that there is no vegetation, well there is! There are wetlands, large areas of vegetation and animals around.
You can walk through the hills and feel how the force of the wind can move you, it is incredible!
When we go with my family, we bring food, juices, etc. to spend the afternoon there. We sit around the lagoon and put our feet in the lagoon. The water is super cold! but it's worth it, I swear jajaja
And well, we eat while listening to the sounds of nature, we tell stories with my grandparents and we enjoy the afternoon as a family.
I recommend wearing warm clothes if you go in the afternoon, because the temperature drops and it feels very cold.
I completely recommend the place!
See you!
xoxo
