A little bit of Chile
Hi! Today I’m going to talk about San Pedro de Atacama. Every summer I go with my family, because my mother’s family lives in Calama, so everytime we travel, we go to San Pedro de Atacama. It is a very nice place, very entertaining and active. There is a lot of typical food to try and many delicious flavors to explore. Sometimes you can come across religious dances in the area and see them right there. It is a kind of carnaval and the dances walk past the center of town. The last time I went with my mom, my sister, my grandmother, we just happened upon the dances and a big fair. Also we find animals, such as alpacas and camels. We ate and danced a lot. The people there are very friendly.
Inside the sales premise, they sell clothing, accessories and sweets that are only from the area. For example “Chumbeque” or “melcocha” are a very delicious sweet that is not sold here in Santiagoand people don’t know about it. I highly recommend them jajaja.
I recommend you go with comfortable shoes, drink water and use sunscreen, because you will be walking a lot and the sun is very potent.
I don't know San Pedro de Atacama, but I would love to go one day
